Midsummer (Midsommar) observed at all in the middle of summer, in June. It is believed that in the coming Midsummer is celebrated on the day of the summer solstice weekend.

Typical festival meal - herring, fresh potatoes with green onions, strawberry, strawberry with cream, compote and rhubarb pie.

Earlier also it was traditional for the Midsummer bonfires. Now this custom in Sweden no longer meets, but the fire continues to be one of the most important moments festival in Finland, Norway and Denmark.

It is believed that on a Saturday night in nature may share their magical properties. On this night, collecting medicinal herbs and dried them, to enjoy them throughout the year.
